The good news are to be shared

The Sophia Awards have announced the nominees for the “documentary” category of the festival’s 4th edition, and ETIC_Algarve has a nominated film.

The documentary “Navegando pelas Águas do Lethes”, made by the Directing, Film and TV 16/18 class was nominated for the “Documentary” category of the 4th edition of the Sophia Student Awards, a nationwide film contest.

Coordinated by trainer Alexandre Moura, this project proposes a look at one of the cultural entities of reference in Faro and the Algarve: the Teatro Lethes. The documentary ultimately focuses on the importance of the emblematic theater in the dimensions that define it – history, architecture, present and future.

The event, which is in its 4th edition, already has 3 nominations from ETIC_Algarve. The purpose of the Sophia Student awards is to encourage future filmmakers, as well as educational institutions.

The award ceremony will take place on December 7th, at Centro Cultural de Belém, and will be accompanied by the presentation of the nominated films.
