Fantastic news, the one we received coming directly from the city of Porto!
Porto7 – International Short Film Festival of Porto, announced the list of nominees for the categories in competition for the 2017 edition of the festival and ETIC_Algarve has 3 nominated films!
A documentary, a fiction and a videoclip were the videos conceived, produced and directed by ETIC_Algarve students that were distinguished by these nominations.
Thus, the short fiction film “Choupan” made by the Directing class 14|16 was nominated for the National Fiction category and will be screened on June 16 (Friday) at the session that will start at 9:30pm.
Scheduled for the 7th competitive screening, which will begin at 9:30pm on Saturday, June 17th, is the documentary “The Son of Art”, made by the class of Communication and Multimedia Design 14|16, which focuses on the career of the plastic artist Menau.
The 3rd nomination goes to the music video “Blessing” made by the Directing class 15|17 for the song with the same name by Jotta P. ft. Billy Fresh. The video will also be shown on Saturday, June 17, but in the session that starts at midnight.
The competitive screenings will take place at the Forte S. João Baptista da Foz, and are all free of charge.
For Sunday, the 18th, the announcement and screening of the winning films of the Porto7 Festival is scheduled for 10 pm.
Organized by FICP – Association for the promotion of culture, cinema, arts and audiovisual media, Porto7 is an annual festival with free admission to all sessions and multiple activities that take place throughout the event.
Divided in 5 international categories (Fiction, Animation, Documentary, Videoclip and Micro-Film) and 1 national category (Fiction), Porto7 intends to promote “the production and exhibition of short films in all aspects and the cultural exchange among the several participating nationalities”.
