The end of August brought us this beautiful news!
The Arouca Film Festival, announced the list of nominees for the categories in competition for the 2017 edition of the festival and ETIC_Algarve has 2 nominated films!
A fiction and a music video were the videos conceived, produced and directed by ETIC_Algarve students that were distinguished by these nominations.
Thus, the short fiction film “Choupan” made by the Directing 14|16 class was nominated for the Fiction category.
The 2nd nomination goes to the music video “Blessing” directed by the Directing class 15|17 for the song of the same name by Jotta P. ft. Billy Fresh.
More details about the competitive sessions, which will take place between September 12 and 17, will be announced soon.
Note that these two projects had already won nominations for the Porto7 – Oporto International Short Film Festival last June.
Walking towards its 15th edition, this International Film Festival of Arouca is organized by Cine Clube de Arouca, constituting itself as “a unique cultural event in the region, a dynamic and innovative project that strives incessantly towards a true decentralization of culture” that has as main objectives “stimulate, disseminate and promote cinematographic and audiovisual works, support works and projects of new directors, as well as productions of recognized value, which are not distributed or exhibited in traditional circuits of cinema.
